"Order of the Seven Serpents" print

Hey everyone,

for everyone who didn't get lucky getting one of my Lord of the Rings print yesterday I will be releasing another print today that I have been working on for quite a while.
It is titled "Order of the Seven Serpents" and is an 18″ x 24″ screenprint, has an edition of 100, and will cost $40. The variant has an edition of 50 and will cost $55. These go up today (Wednesday, December 18th) at 11am Central Time.

The actual Order of the Seven Serpents is something I have been working on for one or two years and this is the first release under that banner.

Lord of the Rings print - "Witch King and the Fell Beast"

Hey everyone,

I know it's been a while since I have posted new stuff!
Yesterday a new print of mine got finally released that I did about a year ago.
When working with officially licensed characters as this one the time between completion of the art and the actual manufacture of the screenprint can take a loooooong time.
One of the reasons is the art has to be approved by the license holder/ the film studio etc before you can use it.
But after what feels like a million years ( I am impatient ) I got the news that it is finally released.
I hope you like the final product;)
“Witch King and Fell Beast” is a 24″ x 36″ screenprint, has an edition of 180, and will cost $45.
The variant has an edition of 85 and will cost $65.

Battle for the Planet of the Apes Poster

hey everyone,
mondo just released their planet of the apes series which i was honored to be a part of.here is some close ups of my print.the whole idea of the drawing is based on Dürer's classic Cain slaying Abel woodcut.In BFTPOTA we witness for the first time that an ape broke the most important taboo "ape shall not kill ape".
the moment this happens the apes realize they have fallen from grace and their moral superiority is lost.they have fallen to the level of mankind because they have spilled blood of another ape,one of their brothers so to speak.i wanted my print to look like an old illustration from an ape "bible".the ornament consists of depictions of the lawmaker and the lawgiver,the two foundations of the ape religion if you can call it that.

Hellboy Movie poster

hey there,here`s my latest movie poster done for the alamo drafthouse screening of hellboy.
being a long time fan of the comics i was stoked to do this.
the poster itself is gonna be available this friday(1/28) at their website.

Alejandro Jodorowsky's SANTA SANGRE movie poster

being a huge jodorowsky fan i was stoked when i got the news that this movie is being released on blu ray by severin films.in case you haven`t seen it yet i strongly suggest you check it out.
there are few movie makers that make anything so utterly insane and creative as jodorowsky did.santa sangre has been compared to hitchcock´s psycho by critics but the visuals are completely different and unique.if freud was alive he would have loved santa sangre for its rich symbolism and psychological allegories.

anyway,here is the press release info on my new print:

"The good folks at Mondo commissioned an outstanding piece of art by Florian Bertmer, (who also created this stellar Mondo poster of The Holy Mountain), for the one night only screening of Santa Sangre at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin TX tonight. Mondo’s posters are printed in very limited numbered runs and are usually gone within minutes of going on sale. The Santa Sangre poster will be super limited run of 200. And will be available tonight at the screening at the Alamo Downtown and then tomorrow on Mondo’s website. With thanks to Mondo’s Justin Ishmael for this exclusive look."

my new STAR WARS print!

Geez,i have been wanting to tell you about this print for quite some time but i promised Mondo to keep my mouth shut.finally it is being released - thanks to Rob for spending 70 hours doing the separations on this beast.i`m pretty sure he hates me more than hitler after this and i couldn`t blame him.
anyway,here is everybody`s favorite bounty hunter - Greedo.
i can`t tell you how many days/hours i spend on this one.it was insane....
hope you like it.lets see who can name ALL characters in the picture correctly.i think there is about 34 SW characters in here.as you can see the whole drawing was done by hand in one piece.
i have included some WIP pics for those interested in stuff like this.
